Saku’s Raw Macho Man
Friends, there's just something about a flat bar cross bike: a perfect blend of speed, shredability, and style that always sets our hearts at All-City aflame. This spectacular example belongs to our buddy Saku, who is the All-City buyer for our distributor in Japan. As you might guess from the spec and setup, Saku has a BMX background and took one of our stock Macho Man frames and had it stripped and clear coated.
He then, built it up with a sweet 1X setup with fat rubber, BMX flats, really nice Profile hubs, a King headset and Thomson cockpit. We especially love the way the brass brazed pieces of the frame standout, and the level of definition in our frame details that you see when you don't have the E.D. coat and paint dulling the sharp edges.
Let's take a walk through...
That dropout!
Also love the old school Mavic SUP Ceramic rim
Brass accent headset spacer pulls it all together
Notice the brass showing through on the cable stop and on the brake bridge
Brass and sharp edges on the reinforcement stars
And the man himself, the "Van Master," Saku!

stripped down seat collar looks boss as hell. That image would make a great t-shirt.
