2018 All City Championship Bandit Cross Photos
Howdy bike fans,
As we prep for Friday's hot Bandit Cross action in MPLS let's take a look back at this Summer's All City Championship Bandit Cross at the infamous Minnehaha course. For those just tuning in, a quick crash course on what Bandit Cross is: It's free cross racing open to all and all kinds of bikes. Bike Jerks (moi, the AC Brand Manager) has been throwing these races since 2010 and they are a universal force for all that good in the cycling world. Free, Open to All, No Bad Attitudes, No Prizes, No Bullshit, No Winners. No Losers. Just an excuse to get out into the woods and have a good time with your friends.
They started because a bunch of us in the urban cycling scene were curious about cross racing but didn't know how to get started. Coming from an alleycat background the answer became, let's just do it ourselves. Since that time it's become a gateway for tons of us in the urban/alleycat scene or for anyone who's ever thought of giving cross a try.
This race was important as it was part of All City weekend and a warm up for the next days first ever Tracklocross National Championships.
Our staff photographer, Marty Wood was on hand to document the goings on.
