The JYD is a throwback to our childhood days when you only had one bike and you rode it everywhere.

Year one we are only making 150 framesets, and to be perfectly honest we're unsure if we'll ever make more.

It's a hard one to talk about because there's both a lot to say, and yet if you get it, a bunch of words are not needed. Since coming into our lives in prototype form a year or so ago, members of the AC team have used it as their bar bike, winter bike, alley thrasher, grocery getter, fixed gear off-road, mountain bike, and everything in between.

It fits a 29 X 2.35 tire, is non-suspension corrected, has an English bottom bracket shell, a classic five piece segmented fork and utilizes rim brakes. We wanted something in our stable that was playful, capable of crushing any terrain we might encounter, put a silly grin on our faces, and was as maintenance and hassle free as possible.

It's out of step with current fashions, and is completely unapologetic about it. We know we'll never sell thousands of these things, but for the lucky few who get their hands on one, it'll definitely become a go to. It's just plain stupid fun.

The JYD sports our signature headbadge, Hennepin Bridge dropouts, brazed on seat collar, hidden fender mounts, custom bb shell, one set of bottle mounts, and gussetted top and down tubes. It's got a classic look with modern aggressiveness and geometry that loves to hop and play. Build it up however the heck you see fit and get it dirty.

The JYD will be available as a frameset only.

E.D. Coating

In Electrophoretic Deposition, or E.D., coating the frame or fork is placed in a paint bath where an electric charge is applied. This fuses a thin layer of black satin coating to the tubes inside and out. This coating acts as both a rust preventative inside and a primer out.

Custom Details

We’re way into the handbuilt touches when it comes to our frames. Which is why you’ll find things like internal cable routing, custom dropouts, lugged crown forks, reinforcements on the bottle bosses, hidden fender mounts, etc.

Signature Dropouts

Our signature horizontal dropout has become one of our calling cards. It functions superbly, looks way cool, and the adjustment screw allows the use of quick release wheels.
