Anna Blogs Jingle Cross Episode Two:  Attack of the ‘Cross

Saturday was cold and windy.  I took to the back of Mt. Krumpit to keep warm in the tree cover and give homemade cookie hand-ups with the likes of Sarah of Omaha Bicycle Co., Lis Grindcore of Sheclismo fame, and Amy O. of Gear Junkie… some seriously rad ladies.

(So you know, Jeremy Powers does not take cookie hand-ups… not even on warm-up laps.  He wouldn’t wheelie up the hill, either.  Just saying.)

Sarah had grass stains down the front of her Carharts from sliding down the hill Friday night during the Elite Men's race.  Because: Classy.

We had several new friends join us, including Nic from the Alpha Bicycle Company All-City CX Team.  Here is Nic being fast from the Single Speed race earlier on Saturday:

As a welcome contrast to Erin’s Macho Man, Nic rocked a stunning and beautifully coherent Zona Nature Boy build.

I especially loved the Ecto Cooler-esque FSA spacers.

It was also nice to see the number of All-City riders absolutely bringing it in the style department.  Nice work, people.

Despite my threat in the car, Erin had left his “RADICAL” hat unattended on several occasions.  With All-City Sponsored Rider and New Bestie, Craig Etheridge, I devised an epic and fitting demise for the hat.  It would have to wait for Sunday.

By the end of the day, everyone was smiles for miles.

Here is a picture of me with pro-tour racer Jason McCartney setting paper airplanes on fire to throw.

To be continued...
