Below is my down and dirty initial concept for our first advertisment which appeared in Cog Magazine (what's up Sparrow and Von Munz). I was hoping to provide the reader with a snapshot of our lives and convey in some small way, a sense of who we are and what kind of things inspire us and our company.
And this is the finished product as it appeared in Cog, after the design burden was transferred to much more skilled hands than my own.
I came across the initial concept today and it made me smile and think of good rides and better friends, and summer weather, and the idea that even though we (cyclists) are thousands of miles apart, our lives are often just the same.
In case you haven't noticed I'm a sucker for nostalgia (though I'm not sure you can officially be nostalgic over something that was created just a few months ago) and thought I'd share a glimpse of the process of producing our print adds with you.
I hope you all had a great weekend. Here in Minnesota it finally feels like Winter has loosened it's grip, and Spring has finally begun. I've been riding my singlespeed Benotto lately and you have no idea how good it feels to actually be able to lean your bike into a corner again (which is something that you can't do in winter sludge).
Winter: boo. Spring: yep.
Take it easy. I'm gone.
