Copper Plated Big Block

August 30th, 2010 / Jeff

This was sent in by a rider the other day.  He’s copper plated his Big Block frameset.  So far only this pic, but I can’t wait to see the finished product.  Let’s see some shots of those dropouts!

Jeff’s Nature Boy Bike Check

August 27th, 2010 / Jeff

Since late June my NB has sat dormant, because I stole the wheels off of it for my new road bike.  I’ve been missing it and last night I was finally able to get her back together.  Here is the bike in it’s current state.

parts box 004
Nature Boy prototype frame and fork, Blackened Blue color

parts box 006
I carry two cogs 16,17 on the rear cassette and plan on adding an 18 as well.  I’m pretty confident all three will have decent enough chainline to be usable

parts box 007
Velocity A23 rims to 105 hubs, three cross rear, two cross front, WTB All Terainasaurus tires 38c front, 32c rear

parts box 008
Tektro brakes, the same that come on the completes

parts box 010
Ritchey post and Brooks B-17 Narrow saddle.  I like to customize my stuff so I added some speed holes with a leather hole punch

parts box 011
White proto fork

parts box 012
Bontrager Buzz Kills, I love these dampers and have them on a number of bikes, including my MTB’s.  I totally think they work

parts box 014
Thomson stem, ITM carbon wrapped alloy bar

parts box 015
105 front, two cross

I love this bike so much, can’t wait to ride some dirt this weekend.

Nature Boy Completes

August 25th, 2010 / Jeff

Earlier this week we started shipping Nature Boy Completes, but until today I haven’t had any photos of what the actual build looks like.

This dude comes ready to roll at $899 MSRP, with strong wheels, WTB Pathway tires, our 130mm hubs, Tektro wide canti’s and ergo levers, FSA Cranks w/bashguard, a Cane Creek S3 headset, shallow bars, a nice post, and an AC saddle.  You can ride the holy hell out of all of this stuff for years without replacing a thing.  Woooo!

New Product: Deluxe Double Toe Straps & Gonzo Saddles

August 13th, 2010 / Jeff

We got these lovelies in a few weeks ago but I’ve been swamped and am just now getting to post them on the blog.

The Deluxe Toe Strap is a step up from our Standard Doubles as it features two pieces of high quality leather sandwiched between a laminate non stretch layer fully stitched toegether.  It also sports our new for 2010 non slip buckles.  These are stiff, non stretchy, long lasting, and our super badass answer to the high end toe strap market.

For $55 you can’t buy a better strap

The Gonzo saddle is the same shape as the saddles we spec on our complete bikes. People seem to really like them so we figured we’d do them with a genuine leather cover, with perforations because we love the O.G. perforated Turbo’s, and nicer rails than the OEM saddle. For $55 you get a neutral shape, hot leather speedhole action, and light weight. It’s super reasonable and we’re proud to offer them to you.product 016

Minneapolis Fixie Tricks Video

August 10th, 2010 / Jeff

In getting ready for this years ACC trick comp I have been revisting some of our old trick videos.  Figured I’d share them with you.  It’s fun to see how far this “sport” has progressed in only a short amount of time.
