NSC Velodrome 2014 Opening Night/ Koochella Team Debut

If you’re in the Twin Cities this Thursday (May 22nd), come on up to Blaine for opening night at the NSC Velodrome.

Fulton beer will be on tap (proceeds benefiting the NSC Velodrome).  Men and women will be turning themselves inside-out for glory and silly prizes.

Most importantly: it is the debut of my all-women's track team, Koochella.

And isn’t that exciting?

Loyal readers will remember me writing about them back in January.

… and I’ll probably be writing a bunch more about them.  Because I love them all and I am super proud of how hard they’ve trained and worked for this season.

Anyway, Thursday will be the first night we will be on the track competing as a team… with matching skinsuits and custom painted (and not available to the public... sorry...) All-City Thunderdomes.

We’ll be out there along with racers from All-City Fulton and Second Chance Racing presented by Zubaz.

Come on out and cheer your face off.  It'll be super fun.

Jeff’s Western Odyssey

I headed out to Colorado a week ahead of NACCC's to meet up with my good friend Josh Culbertson of Avery County Cycles to do some camping and mountain biking in the Fruita and Moab area. Obviously the love of track, cross, and road bikes runs deep, but I was brought up a mountain biker in the backwoods of Northern Wisconsin. It was my first love, and the opportunity to trod the holy ground of the mtb mecca that is Moab was way too alluring to pass up.
