Keep Cross Weird Photos Set 1: Race

IMG_1262

I've been down here in Texas since last Tuesday with the expressed reason for the trip being last Thursday's Keep Cross Weird event, thrown in conjunction with our buddy and Austin local, John Watson of Prolly is Not Probably. Stoked to report that things were indeed kept weird, and the event went off with nary a hitch.

During course setup I became worried that the course was way too technical, as I always opt to keep any night races as smooth as possible, but in spite of a gnarly technical descent and the possibility of flying off the singletrack into cactus, there were few casualties and all seemed to have a great time.

After the race we all headed out to Yellow Jacket Social Club where a keg had been procured with the race money, and proceeded to get down.

As always with Bandit Cross, the outpouring of positivity and good will from the participants, made me very grateful to be involved in the cycling community and to have the opportunity to come down and soak up the vibes of the Austin folks. Also super stoked to report that the All-City support is strong down here, with our homies at Cycleast and Beat The Clock leading the charge.

Thanks to all who came out and threw down.

Here is the first sampling of photos from the night from my vantage point.

The hydro-disc macho man, would be a reason to get gears. I hope we see it available in the future.

Any chance the 853 is happening? I’m on the cusp of buying a M.M. frame and mating it with a Whisky No. 5 ... I’d rather not if I knew the 853 is coming.

Introducing the New Sheriff SL’s

Hey there folks, today on this Memorial Day Monday it is not a day of rest at All-City HQ. Rather it is a day of excitement as we officially release upon the world our New Sheriff SL hubs. What's so cool about these hubs you ask? Well, for starters they're among the lightest track hubs in the world, and not only are they light, Buddy, they are plenty durable too.

Introducing the Big Gulp Summer Weight Kit

We're stoked to start making a big push with our new kit the "Big Gulp." This time we've got two big reasons to celebrate. One is the fact that Saisha once more killed the design, this time with a sweet homage to the iconic 7-11 jerseys of the 1980's, and secondly this is our first kit with our new supplier Pactimo. With the new manufacturer, we've taken a big step up in materials, especially in the chamois.
