Cutters Shirt

Inspired by the cycling movie we all grew up on comes this new design.

CL1900[1]

We used the "Pop Warner" font, switched the color, and boom.  There you go. New shirt.
It's simple, classic, and clean.

another perfect fall ride

I’m throwing an outlaw cross race this weekend

banditcrossrace1
Text from Bike Jerks Blog

This Saturday will be the first race of the fall 2010 Bandit Cross Outlaw SSCX Race Series.

Race #1 Hobo Camp
Sat 10/2
Meet at 5pm at Hobo Camp
next to spiral ped bridge in Bryn Mawr Meadows
(cedar lake trail / basset creek trail)

Spectators and bevvies encouraged
(cowbells and beer handups)

At 4:30pm there will be a cyclocross clinic teaching racers how to dismount, carry, and remount.

There will also be a trail work session starting at 2pm at Hobo Camp to get the course ready. If you can help out please bring trail tools (machete, rakes, etc.) and meet us. A little work will go a long way towards making the course more fun and safer.

This is a fun race for anyone who's interested in cyclocross. Expect a 40 minute race with A and B classes if enough folks show up. We'll work hard, race hard, and celebrate.

The flyer says single speed but every bike is welcome. If you ride fixed though, I will be requiring a brake as you're going to need it and no one wants to be taken out by you.

If you have any, I am searching for some more barriers and cones to mark the course.

I don't recommend bringing your cross tubulars, the course is kind of ghetto.
Course consists of pavement, gravel, dirt, and grass.

more details to come. Hope to see you there.

If you have a blog, or post on any of the forums (Morc, etc) please spread the word to the legit racing community. It is my goal to create a fun and positive atmosphere where both newcomers and vets can come out, ride hard, and enjoy the spirit of community that comes after turning yourself inside out for 40 minutes with your homies.

Back From Interbike

and buried under a ton of emails.  If you sent me a message, I'll get to it as quick as I can, but please be patient.

In the mean time enjoy some photos from our booth.  I didn't have the opportunity to walk the show, so these are all I've got from IB

Tool Pouches

flippin' sweet!

All-City X Trash Bags Tool Pouches

okay,
one more before we jet off to Interbike for the week.

We wanted to do something special for our friends and dealers.  Any a-hole can order something out of a catalog and mass produce it, but we wanted to take a more personal approach with a gift to our homies.

We traded Andy Larson of Trash Bags (a local messenger and bag maker) a Nature Boy frameset in return for 20 of his handmade water resistant tool pouches.  Since I silk screen for my little hobby company Bike Jerks, it seemed only natural for me to get in there and print everything myself.

Yesterday I took off from work early and got busy

When I first started screenprinting I had no money for equipment, now I could buy equipment, but I enjoy making things using the least amount of technology as possible.  Using only experience and intuition, while often leading to imperfections, is a notion I still find incredibly romantic.

I was also making prizes for Babes in Bikeland

I went over most of the pouches twice, once in a base color then again, slightly offset, with another

It ended up being a ton of work, but I'm very happy with how the printing turned out and very excited to be able to present folks with a gift that we had a real hand in making.  These will not be for sale, but are only available as a gift from AC to our dear friends and dealers.  The run is limited to 20 pieces.

I am dropping them off with Andy for sewing tonight and he'll get as many done as possible before I fly out on Monday.

All-City X Twin Six Jersey

We have long wanted to do a kit, and since we proudly flaunt our hometown roots, it seemed only natural to partner with local boys Twin Six to make it happen.

Twin Six has revolutionized on-bike apparel (who'd have thought that making bike clothing that wasn't hideous was a revolution, but clearly it is), and it's nigh impossible to go to a cross, mtb, or gravel ride/race around here and not be awash in a sea of their designs.  The boys over there also happen to be sometime riding buddies of ours, so it seemed like a natural fit to tap them for our first ever kit.

Yes, that's kit, as in bibs and jersey.  We're not showing the bibs on the blog just yet, but you'll be able to see both at Interbike next week.  We are f'ing stoked and very happy with how this collaboration has turned out.

T6_AllCity_F[1]

T6_AllCity_B[1]

We went with badass black, grey, and checkerboard with a hint of our signature light blue color.  The bibs sport the same motif, with a nice accent that we're not giving away yet on the posterior.

We expect them to be in stock at the end of September, available in both men's and women's sizes.

Stu Louder

Bianchi Super Pista Interbike Show Bike

When Bianchi asked us to kick them some cranks for their IB show bike, we of course said yes.  People may think there's all sorts of competiton and rivalry among brands, but we're way into supporting our fellow companies.  Especially when that company is Bianchi, because who among us who's ridden bikes for a number of years hasn't at some time fancied a Bianchi or two.  They've been around for ages and we hold them in the highest respect.

AC has love for everyone who's in it for the right reasons, let's all make cool stuff, put more people on bikes, make a living and live the life.

Woot!

New Urban Velo ad

Our new ad in Urban Velo just dropped.  This was taken from a Spring ride with the Robeast and I'm really happy with how my photo turned out.

One of the things that I'm super proud of is the fact that we don't go out and stage photos for our ads.

We don't do this because we don't need to.  We just live our life and document it.

No bullshit.  No fakery.  Just real everyday bike life.

All-City Officially Welcomes Swoo!

Finally got a chance to update Swoo's rider page, and we'd like to take the opportunity to offically welcome him to the family.

Swoo's a Toronto cat who does tricks and wins races.  He's been a big voice in the FGFS community, and we're stoked to have him riding and testing our stuff.

Check out his rider page here

Gnome Fest 7

Went mtbing in 'Sconnie this weekend for Gnome Fest 7.  I took a vacation from playing papparazzi and didn't take jack for photos, but I did get the best time in the dirt cat and had the second best blackjack hand, so you know MPLS represented hard.

All-City Welcomes Christina Peck to the team

allcity_christina_0155

AC is very proud to welcome it's first female team rider: reigning NACC champ Christina Peck of Chicago.

Christina is our second messenger, along with teammate Nico, to join the ranks.  She is currently in Guatemala competing at the World Courier Championships and I'm really hoping that she wins this year, after last year's 3rd place finish.  (If one of my couriers wins World's you can bet your ass we're going to start putting world champ stripes on everything!)  We've been needing some female representation on the team and Christina is not only one of the fastest alleycat racers around, but she also races cross and road too.  After meeting her at MMI and finding out that she's a super nice person in addition to being fast it seemed like a no brainer. We are stoked to have her fly the AC flag.

Check out her rider bio here

Copper Big Block

Last week we gave you a sneak peek at this sick copper plated Big Block.  This week, Dave (the bike's owner) sent over complete bike shots.

IMG_2220090210[1]
This thing is amazing and it's always super rad to see that people love their AC's enough to drop money into these kind of projects.

from Dave,
I built it up with Velocity wheels, Chub Hubs, a Sugino 75 Crank,
All City pedals, clips and straps. People can see it rolling through
the Denver streets.

It rides like a dream, and I could not be happier except for someone
trying to steal my front wheel the first day I had it out.

Thanks for sharing Dave, and the rest of you please keep them coming!
