Sunday Filming
October 26th, 2009 / Jeff
The boys and I went out for a ride yesterday and filmed some for an upcoming team web edit and to get some photos for Mike and Jesse’s rider profiles. Here are some stills from the day

it’s not in focus and his head’s cutoff but I really like this one of Jesse

Mike and Jess at the spot known as “the Alt rail”

Jesse on the rail

Jesse’s green Dropout. Initially I wasn’t too sure of the green, but after seeing it built up, I think it’s awesome.

Mike Carney: big 180 down a long six set with absolutely no run in and a crappy run out

blood from Jesse’s first ill fated attempt at the rail. And as Prolly coined, the “MPLS tuxedo”. Flannel and long johns

Riders Section Up
October 22nd, 2009 / Jeff
Just made the first entry in our Riders section in the About tab
. This one’s for Chris Clappe from Seattle.
I’ll be getting more of the All-City sponsored dudes up there in the near future.
Our team guys are the ones who test and validate the equipment and are invaluable in turning out great product, so we figured that you should know who they are. This is also one of the ways we get to live the dream of supporting those who are out there everyday getting it done.
Currently the boys are out thrashing the Dropout so that we can make changes and improvements and get this thing 100% dialed before we start our first production run.
Pedal Speed.

One of the cool things about our international distributors is that they do all sorts of promotional things that I have no knowledge about, and then lay them on me. Our Japanese distributor Motocross Intl. (don’t worry, it’s a translation thing, they do bikes, not motorcycles) has All-City sponsoring all sorts of events and adds and what not that I have no idea about until they come across my desk as event flyers, or magazines or whatever. One such thing was this issue of Pedal Speed, some sort of Japanese magazine/trade book/catalog?/ hell, I don’t know exactly what it is, I can’t read Japanese and no one ever tells me nothin.
All I know is that the pictures are awesome, and there are lots of familiar faces and companies involved. here are some shots from issue #2

55cm Big Block for Sale at Behind Bars
October 20th, 2009 / Jeff
Behind Bars in Nordeast Minneapolis is currently the only one in the world with a Big Block for sale

this was our show frame from Interbike. Chuck (former messenger, reportedly the first guy in Minneapolis to be able to skid no handed way back in the 90’s, shop owner) want’s you to have it. So if you’re interested contact them at 612-436-0255
Everyone else will be able to get one in December, but you can have it now, and be ultra cool for a few months.
And remember size the bike by the top tube and not the seat tube. This thing has a 56.5cm top.

Major Milestone: First Big Block Sold
October 7th, 2009 / Jeff
Our 55cm show frame from Interbike was sold yesterday to our good friends at Behind Bars in North East Minneapolis yesterday. This marks the first time we’ve actually sold one of these and it’s kind of a big deal. To us at least.
Since I was heading up that way anyway I dropped off the frameset personally
official AC delivery van

you can see both Chuck’s excitement and his hipster facial hair
I’ll have more pics after it’s built. (sorry that these are all pretty crappy)
This is a huge deal for us and I just wanted to say thanks to the riders, shops, and everyone else who has worked hard, supported, or just taken notice. We’re having a much bigger and better first year than we ever could have imagined, and I can’t wait for the first true shipment of bikes and frames. Expect them in mid December.
got that? Big Block’s will be here in December

The Butcher’s Dropout
October 2nd, 2009 / Jeff

here’s Chris Clappe’s small Dropout build. And yes, that is a 26” wheel on the front, but don’t be confused the bike was designed for a 700, that 26” wheel is just his personal preference
