More Production Parts!

January 29th, 2009 / Jeff

These are exciting times for All-City as more product continues to arrive at our door.  We are currently in preparation for our first tradeshow, Frostbike, where we will be presenting our full line to the bicycle dealers for the first time. Expect extensive photos and a very big unveiling, that’s all I can say about it right now, but stay tuned because we will have some very big news next month.
To hold you over, here are some more photos from our first production run.

Standard Track Hubs: I firmly believe that the Standard hubs are the best value track hub on the market today.  I have three pairs of them and ride the bejesus out of them, including abusing them on my trick bike.  I have never had to replace a bearing, or axle, or any other part, just minor adjustments once in a blue moon.  I also really like the lightweight hollow axle, which is plenty strong for tricks or whatever else you might be into.  I’m a fairly heavy rider at 180lbs and have never had a problem.  They will be coming to you sporting the AC shield logo, and the first batch are arriving at our distributor as I write this.

612 Track Cranks are 144BCD, Cold Forged, with a matching 46 tooth ring.  They come in gold, red, and black. 165mm and 170mm lengths.

In addition to cranksets we are doing 612 Track Chainrings in 144 and 314 Messenger Chainrings rings in 130BCD, and I’d like to encourage all of you who ride a 44X16 setup to give 43X16 a try.  It works great for around the city and it gives you a prime number which increases your skid patches and decreases tire and chain wear.

Double Toe Straps and Crayton Double Toe Clips

January 29th, 2009 / Jeff

As I was making the last blog post these showed up at the door.  It’s always a relief for us when products show up and look even better than we were expecting.

The Crayton (named in honor of Minneapolis Sprint Champ the Robeast Trevor Crayton) Double Toe Clips in colors

and the classic Double Straps to complete the ensemble

Stupor Sprints Friday Night

I’m throwing Stupor Sprints, show up and have fun.

Star Grips

January 20th, 2009 / Jeff

More product keeps rolling in. This time it’s flat bar BMX grips.
Yep, the classic Big Cheese BMX Star grips that you know and love have come under All-City’s umbrella.  These babies feature a dual compound soft body with hard stars.  I have loved and used these grips for years (way before coming to work for All-City) and cannot recommend them enough.  Perfect for BMX bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers, and of course fixies.

Bootleg Sessions Rider Profile

January 16th, 2009 / Jeff

Burd over at Bootleg Sessions recently contacted me to do a rider profile for his website.  I was honored and immediately got to work.  A Saturday evening call from MPLS rider Kane led to a session at a soon to be torndown commercial space in Uptown.  The spot was cramped but the guys who have access to it had placed a sheet of plywood over some stairs which made a fun ghetto quarter pipe.

Anyway. you can link here to the whole profile.

Big thanks to Burd, and everyone who has supported All-City through our infancy.

Black Shirts and Lockrings!

January 5th, 2009 / Jeff

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. As for me, I could be found (if you were looking) in one of two places: making good friends with a bottle of whiskey and a warm blanket (sound familiar?), or in the woods on a borrowed Pugsley exploring the Mississippi river banks near my house.  I never imagined all the nooks, crannies, caves, storm drains, and other features that abound within a few miles of my home.  It’s amazing out there, and was a much needed reminder to myself that adventure is wherever you look for it.

But that’s the past and it’s now Monday and back to business at the All-City offices. There are a few things that I wanted to let you know about.

First, the black Cityscape logo shirts are in at our distributors. Available in men’s and women’s styles.

They look like this on me, but will probably look much nicer on you.

Second, The All-City lockrings are also in stock and can be ordered from our distributor using the following part number: FW4750.

What it is: classic, solid, simple, silver.

What it is not: fancy.

That’s it: a classic cnc’d chromoly lockring that is reasonably priced and won’t slip around like a cheap stamped steel one.  MSRP $11.
