May 20, 2013
I’m a pretty picky lady when it comes to bags. I have no shame in admitting I’m the sort that likes to carry a heap of stuff with me. Probably too much sometimes, but hey, I tend to wander and I like to be prepared.

March 29, 2013
I've been wanting to share the tale of the now canceled Macho King cantilever (a Zona version of the Macho Man) for a while now, but I've been afraid to show you something that you can't have. We've been getting a bunch of questions about a Zona Macho lately, and as I feel there are a number of interesting behind the scenes info / how AC works aspects of the story, this is my attempt to let you know what happened and why.

Leading With Your Values
January 07, 2013
The other day I was talking about the Velocity USA (you know the rim makers) and in speaking of them I made the comment that one of the things I admire about them was that they "lead with their values." Brother let me tell you, while the mountains are purty, the alltitude, heat, and 3.2 beer begin to wear on you after a while. It was a marathon of good friends, climbs, descents, and binge drinking.

NACCCs Richmond Second Day: Group Ride, Course Setup, Alleycat
May 30, 2012
The first day ended up with my drunk ass sleeping on a terrible little mini couch with a slant, colloquially (sp?) known as the "dog couch." The second day found me waking up gasping for water to soothe my carpet mouth after a knock at the door. Who was it?
NACCC’s Richmond First Day: Arrival, Redbull Art Attack
May 29, 2012
This past weekend, I left Minneapolis on Thursday to attend the North American Cycle Courier Championships in Richmond, VA. For All-City this was a special NACCC's as family member Stu Louder was one of the principle organizers of the event. As with all good travels this trip saw me home sunburned, dehydrated, exhausted, content, and wanting to be a better community member and person. The sunburned/exhausted part needs no explanation, so let me now expound upon the latter mentioned.
Gone To NACCC’s
May 23, 2012
I will be out of the office until next week as I'm heading to Richmond for the annual North American Cycle Courier Championships taking place this year in Richmond, VA. This year our man Stu Louder has a big hand in the organizing and we'll be there to support him and run a checkpoint during the race. If you're going and you see me around, please say hello.
Deputy Polo Hubs and 36h Fronts are here!

We're super psyched to let you know that we recieved our first shipment of 48hole Deputy Polo hubs the other day.
Space Horse from Blue Lug in Japan
May 22, 2012

Getting Ready for NACCC’s
May 18, 2012
Rode the Macho Man in with my Pink on a trailer so I could ship it out Richmond today.
Kits
May 17, 2012
While we over at All-City don't have the best looking models, we do happen to have the best looking kits in the game. If you want to look good this year and for year's to come, get to your shop and ask them to order up some. Our jerseys and bibs are made in the U.S.A. in partnership with local homies Twin Six.
Save The Track Bike Bar
May 14, 2012
We're super stoked to let you know that we are upping our handlebar game with this newest edition to the AC parts family, the Save The Track Bike (STTB) drop bar.
A Love Song to Doctor Rockso
May 11, 2012
Though, as I have mentioned before, much of the inspiration for our product comes from cycling history (in 130 years or so of the safety bicycle, technology has evolved and changed in fabulous ways), a lot of inspiration for our product comes from our personal fleets of and experience with bicycles. With that said: Meet Doctor Rockso
Wolf Drawn: Corey San Augustin for All-City
May 09, 2012
Our man Corey San Augustin getting after it on his Def Wish and Airwolf
Limited Edition Copper Parts
May 08, 2012
We just received our shipment of limited edition copper plated parts. This is a one and done run for the year, when we're out, that's it until next year (maybe, we don't actually know if we'll ever order another batch).
Packy Golan Machete Edit
May 04, 2012
Packy just put up this edit for Machete bars. Some hot Def Wish action.
Space Horse Glamour Shots
May 04, 2012
On Monday our Japanese distributor Motocross Intl, got a hold of us to ask us to create an ad for the Space Horse for the upcoming issue of Pedal Speed, a super rad Japanese publication. Not being happy with our current Space Horse photo assets, I took advantage of a lovely Minnesota overcast morning yesterday to go out and nab some Space Horse glamour shots.

Bandit Cross 9 Photos
April 25, 2012
Here are a few selected images from this past weekend's Bandit Cross race down by Fort Snelling State Park. About 20 people showed, 9 raced, and except for one pissy pants bystander who was kicking all of the cones into the woods, the whole thing went off quite well with minimal notice from the patrons of the dog park.
Macho and Captain Phil at Bandit Cross
April 23, 2012
Yesterday was Bandit Cross, and I took a proto Macho Man and my Captain Phil down.
Shop visit: The Hub Bicycle Co-op
April 23, 2012
On my whirlwind visit to the Westbank of MPLS, two weeks back, I also had the delight of dropping into the Hub's Westbank store for some employee hijinks.
Upcoming Events
April 20, 2012
As you know, one of the dealys that I like to do is organize races and such. Well next week I have two such things on the agenda.
The Captain Phil
April 19, 2012
One of the coolest things about being a part of All-City is the wish fullfillment aspect of it. I've been fortunate enough now to have been able to help make a dream track bike, road bike, and others a reality, but near and dear to my heart is the Captain Phil project.
All-City Annual now Online
April 17, 2012
Super happy that the second All-City Annual is now available on our website in Z Mags, just go to the Annual page of the website and pop that baby full screen.

LA Trip Photo Dump
April 06, 2012
These are all the rad photos from my LA Trip that didn't fit into any of the other posts. Really proud of some of these shots.
LA Marathon Crash Race
April 05, 2012
The last day of my LA Trip was race day for the LA marathon Crash Race. For those of you not familiar, the Crash race follows the course of the LA Marathon. The night/morning of the race at 3am, hundreds (they're claiming 1800 this year) of cyclists converge at Tangs donuts to race the blocked off marathon course.
Rolling Cowboys
April 03, 2012
Another shop I visited in LA was Rolling Cowboys. Right away when I saw the dog and the sign I knew that the owner and I were going to get along swell.
Lisa’s on Bike Snob
April 02, 2012
Checking out Bike Snob today, he had a post about his recent trip to Madison, and what do you know, our own Boss Lady Lisa Snyder was all up in his photos from the ride.

March 30, 2012
Check out this new edit from Packy Golan. Dude's getting so good.
Golden Saddle Cyclery
March 29, 2012
On Thursday night of my LA trip All-City helped put on a little grill out at Golden Saddle Cyclery. Kyle's a bro, and I have been wanting to check out his new store since all of the photos that I've seen of it have been so spectacular. The real thing didnt dissappoint as they have tons of rad shit for bike geeks to eyeball. Check out some photos from the event and the shop.
Orange 20
March 27, 2012
One of the shops I was really excited about finally getting to see in person was Orange 20 in L.A.. Orange 20 has been a huge player in the development of the cycling scene in Los Angeles, we've been dealing with them for years, and recenlty they started carrying more of our complete bikes in the shop.
Classic Style
March 26, 2012
One of the concepts that I've been super into the past few years is the idea of "Classic Style." Things that look great and will always look great, garments that never go out of style. Black jeans, flannels, Chuck Taylor's, Ray Ban Wayfarers, etc. These are just classic looks.
City Grounds Shop Visit
March 23, 2012
One of the things I was really excited about on this trip was finally getting to see the Citygrounds stores. Citygrounds sells a ton of our stuff and have been huge supporters since day one of All-City's existence, not to mention that Paul and Jack are great dudes and some of my favorite peeps in the bike industry.
LA Trip Photos
March 23, 2012
Sorry I've been dragging on getting photos up from my LA trip, it's been a crazy week as my house got robbed (we're all fine) and our Hedgehog passed away. I'll make sure to hit it hard next week. In the meantime check out this montage that Kyle of Golden Saddle Cyclery put together of images from the GSC X All-City barbeque last Thursday.
Los Angeles Trip First Day

Music Appreciation
March 07, 2012
I know it's been a while, but I'm back with another Music Appreciation post. Today's subject is Dead Moon, the legendary Seattle DIY punk band from Portland Oregon. I was only recently introduced to Dead Moon as several of my buddies have been procuring lp's from their recently reissued back catalog.
Customer’s Builds
March 05, 2012

March 02, 2012
Once more AC is proud to support this awesome ladies race in Madison!
Fuck The Buff/Creativity is King
March 01, 2012
The "Buff" exists in every city, it is the eradication of Graffiti from our environment. The "Buff" is the brown roller paint that mutes murals, it is the process of taking a dull color and censoring expression. Eavesdrop on the visual dialogue between the artist and his enviornment in this tumultuous and storied relationship.
Mr. Pink Completes Are In.
February 29, 2012
There is something that I have been dying to tell you, however there's no point in even telling you anymore since I'm sure you can see the title of this post. Holy shit, am I excited that this monstrous shit kicker of a road race bike is finally available in complete bike trim.

Introducing the Macho Man

As you may or may not have heard, at Frostbike this weekend our newest baby took it's first bow. The long awaited geared version of the Nature Boy, which thematically we've dubbed the Macho Man.

Space Horse Dropout Development, Part 3: Return of the Dropout
February 15, 2012
This is the third and final installment of the series on the All-City Space Horse dropout. We have so far covered initial concept exploration and design development both in the sketchbook as well as in virtual mediums.
I Got to Shoot Gator’s Skateboard!
February 08, 2012
The other day I spotted this sick Gator pro model sitting at the Fulcrum sales dude's (Mike) desk. At first I was stoked simply because it's the model that everyone who skated during that time wanted, but then he put me beyond stoked when he told me that this was in fact owned and ridden by Gator himself. Not only that but it makes an appearance (being ridden by someone else) in the famous Suicidal Tendencies video Institutionalized.
Space Horse Dropout Development, Part 2: The Reckoning
February 06, 2012
This is the second installment of a three-part series on the development of the All-City Space Horse dropout. Today, we go from the physical sketchbook to the virtual 3D modeling program.
Customer’s Builds
February 01, 2012
Here it is, another round of look-see-drool. These are builds sent in to us by folks who own and love their All-City. Let's get to it.
Space Horse Dropout Development, Part 1
January 30, 2012
All-City Product Development works tirelessly to bring to you, the people, the raddest product possible. We thought it would be cool to give some insight into our design process through the blog. We obsess over details- sometimes to the point where they become projects of their own. So begins the story of the Space Horse dropout...
New O.G. Kits are in Stock
January 26, 2012
Earlier this week we received our first batch of the new O.G. kit, and they turned out even sweeter than we had hoped. These are our second collaboration with Minneapolis' own Twin Six, and we couldn't be happier with the results, check it out.

Photo Dump
January 20, 2012

Cross Up at the Lumberyard
January 20, 2012
We are both stoked and excited to support our homie Amanda's newest event creation. If you're in Portland, you better be there.
Our New Waterbottle
January 17, 2012
Since we like to ride our bikes a lot and when you ride your bike a lot you need to drink water, here's the new All-City water bottle. And it just so happens to match the new O.G. kit. Crazy right?
Stupor Bowl 15 Flyer
January 17, 2012
Obviously we're excited as hell to once more support our hometown event, the one and only Stupor Bowl.
Our New Vertical Dropouts
January 16, 2012
As we move into geared bikes it only made sense to continue with our tradition of creating our own signature dropouts. For most companies these are unnecessary and silly expenses but we feel that it's these frame details that make an All-City standout from the crowd and give our bikes their character and archival quality. When you're looking at a vintage frameset and see that Campagnolo dropout you know you're looking at a quality piece. It's our love for these sorts of bike geek moments that leads us to making the investment in our own stainless steel forgings.
Bike Rumor Interview
January 13, 2012
Bike Rumor published a little interview I did with them on how to break into the bike industry. Go check it out
Get Well Corey
January 13, 2012
If you've been following along, you know that our man Corey is down in Texas with Prolly and the crew from Long Beach. He's been absolutely killing it down there as these photos that have popped up on Prolly is Not Probably over the last week have shown. Well yesterday he was doing an over rail to fire cracker and got hung up on his second attempt (after making the first)
Corey Down in Austin
January 10, 2012
Our man Corey San Augustin is down in Austin Texas hanging out with Prolly and the Long Beach peeps. John keeps posting photos from their visit so keep checking Prolly for more
New All-City Kits: The O.G. Jersey and Bibs
January 09, 2012
We've got a new kit in the pipeline. We wanted to compliment our "racer" kit the original Twin Six X All-City with a simpler more understated ensemble. Behold the second fruit of our partnership with Minneapolis' own Twin Six, the O.G. kit.
Ty’s Nature Boy Zona
January 06, 2012
Our buddy Prolly recently did a nice post on Ty from Golden Saddle Cyclery's Nature Boy Zona for his blog Prolly is not Probably. The photo above was from a separate post and was shot by Brian Vernor. It's of Ty in action on this lovely machine. Here are the photos from Prolly
Bandit Cross: Ruining it for Everybody trailer
January 05, 2012
So as you may know, I organize a bunch of grassroots illegal cyclocross races throughout the year in Minneapolis. Recently the video crew from the QBP mothership asked if I'd be interested in making a video about the series. As this is something that I deeply love and wish to spread the idea that any a-hole can throw a race and do something positive for their cycling community, I of course said "Yes." The full length (for a short) isn't done yet, but they just released this little trailer.
We’re Back
January 03, 2012
Back from break and ready for business. Here are a few shots from my time off.

Long Sleeve Wool Jerseys Now in Stock
December 19, 2011
We just received our shipment of limited edition Peugeut inspired long sleeve wool jerseys in black recently. Like our short sleeves, these are made by Woolistic from the finest Merino wool available. In addition to my normal shots on the picnic table out back, yesterday Josh and I took advantage of the ridiculous temps (40's in December) and lack of snow to once more do the ever awesome Low Road to Sibley route. We took the shortcut that I found last week and knocked at least a half hour off our time.
Customer’s Builds
December 16, 2011
It's time for another round of builds from the people. Up first I've got a Dropout from a gentleman known only as "The Duck"
New Front Page Images
December 14, 2011
Yesterday I updated our front page images for the first time on the new website. Here are my selections.
Sunday Explorations
December 12, 2011
This Sunday I headed out my Nature Boy to explore an area of the river that I'd never checked out before. I've been super into the river as of late, there is so much decaying structure, man made tunnels, and 18th century left-overs down there. And being able to easily shuck the city and get into the unknown is one of the things that I really cherish about living in Minneapolis and riding a bike. I want to know every detail, every nook and cranny, and it's most often my bicycle that takes me there.
Drag Thunder Bangkok
December 09, 2011
Our partners over in Thailand, Brothers Bike, sent over this video of one of their riders cruising the streets on a Big Block. check it out!
All-City in GQ (sort of)
December 07, 2011
Our courier in Richmond, Stu, clued us in to this project by Carytown Bicycle Company and Need Supply Co. written up in GQ online. Bikes are everywhere these days in the city, but sleek, understated, and stylish bikes? A rarity. And you're never going to fulfill your European-sartorial-commuter-biking fantasies on that mountain rig, dude. That's why we're digging designer Gabe Ricioppo (from Richmond, Virginia's Need Supply Co.) and Tim Mullins', (from Carytown Bicycle Company) take on an outrageously cool city cruiser
Shea Hardacre By Rick Anderson

Big Block - Summer and Winter
December 05, 2011
To say that I am proud of the Big Block is an understatement. It was the first major proprietary undertaking from our then fledgling brand, and it is the bike that over the last three years I have spent the most amount of time on. I love the thing. It is/was the perfect track bike for my lifestyle. I understand if it isn't everyone's ideal, but for a certain type of rider or a certain type of climate, it is the absolute business.
Customers Bikes
December 02, 2011
I know you've been waiting for it, another edition of photos of bikes and people riding bikes, that people who own All-City's have sent in for us to check out.

Music Appreciation
November 30, 2011
I've been slacking on the Music Appreciation posts as of late. I'm sorry. Growing up a Northwoods boy in a backwards little city that was so classicly small town the Chamber of Commerce might have issued Kenny Rogers albums to all of its citizens, I have a deep love and affection for country music. I make no apologies, if you hate country it's because you're not listening to the right stuff.
Milwaukee Trip Friday
November 29, 2011
A few weeks back now, a crew of dudes went down to Milwaukee for the opening of Ben's Cycles new bike school.

Bottle Cross
November 16, 2011
This past Sunday, Hurl from Cars R Coffins organized an outlaw cx race called Bottle Cross. It was a grand time, and I was stoked that someone else was throwing a stupid illegal cross race.

So you might have noticed that we now have a new website. We've got a new look, have updated the products, and you can now comment on the blog posts. Neat!
Photo Gallery in the New Urban Velo
November 02, 2011
The new issue of Urban Velo is up online and this month's photo gallery was shot by yours truly. I selected some images from the past few years that I thought represented my life here in Minneapolis.
Blow Me Fall Colors Tour
November 02, 2011
And on Saturday was the Blow Me Fall Colors Tour aka the Homey Fall Fest... I bring this to your attention because the mountain bike aspect is one clear differentiator between MPLS bike culture and all of the other major metro areas in the U.S. The generation prior basically invented single speed mountainbiking and the vibe still goes strong.
Track or Treat 5 Photos
November 02, 2011
Last Friday I threw my annual Halloween fixed gear only alleycat, Track or Treat here in Minneapolis. Here are a few choice photos from the evening.

Inspiration
October 10, 2011
We're in the process of doing a little excercise and I've been putting together some images that I find inspirational. I thought that I'd share them with you since I know you like to look at stuff.
Stevil Kinevil Reviews the Nature Boy
October 06, 2011
Perhaps you don't believe me when I tell you all about how flipping sweet the Nature Boy is. Perhaps you'd care for a second opinion from someone who doesn't collect a paycheck from All-City. Well Mr. (or Mrs, or Miss) skeptic, perhaps you'll believe the esteemed Stevil Kinevil when he tells you that he enjoys riding this fine mount for bicycling related activities.
Corey San Augustin in Minneapolis
September 28, 2011
Corey, Matt Spencer, and Anotnyo, killing some local spots in Minneapolis and Milwaukee.
Matt Moore at Cross Vegas

Jeweled White Big Blocks are Here!
May 24, 2011
While it's hard to tell from the photos, the paint job is incredibly sparkly in the light, and is very reminiscent of the sparkle often seen on Keirin frames from Japan.

The More You Know: Dressing for Success
April 13, 2010
I figured I'd spice up the blog a helpful little article on commuting apparel. It's spring here in Minnesota, which is pretty much the best season of the year. The snow has melted, and people are emerging from their seasonal depression into the bright sunlight of the oncoming summer. The mornings have typically been in the mid 30's with the afternoon's in the low 50's.
Introducing the Nature Boy All-City’s Single Speed Cyclocross Racer
February 22, 2010
As you may or may not have heard, this weekend we dropped the curtain on our newest creation, a single speed steel cyclocross race bike. My big plan was to post a nebulous photo of the cable routing on Friday to whet your appetites (sp?) for the whole bike photos to come after the show. Obviously that didn't happen but here is what it would have looked like
