I've been slacking on the Music Appreciation posts as of late. I'm sorry. Growing up a Northwoods boy in a backwards little city that was so classicly small town the Chamber of Commerce might have issued Kenny Rogers albums to all of its citizens, I have a deep love and affection for country music. I make no apologies, if you hate country it's because you're not listening to the right stuff.

This past Sunday, Hurl from Cars R Coffins organized an outlaw cx race called Bottle Cross. It was a grand time, and I was stoked that someone else was throwing a stupid illegal cross race.

And on Saturday was the Blow Me Fall Colors Tour aka the Homey Fall Fest... I bring this to your attention because the mountain bike aspect is one clear differentiator between MPLS bike culture and all of the other major metro areas in the U.S. The generation prior basically invented single speed mountainbiking and the vibe still goes strong.
